At International Vacations, Inc., we’re more than order-takers. We’re your go-to travel partners, here to guide you from “just thinking about it” to “this was the best trip ever.” Whether you’re planning a family getaway, a cruise with friends, or a destination wedding, we help take the stress out of vacation planning.
So much more than we can put on a website! But here are just a few of the most important things we do for our clients.
We do the legwork so you don’t have to, matching you with the right options based on your travel style, wishlist, and budget. No more second-guessing endless Google searches or resort reviews. And because pricing and availability can change in an instant, having a travel agent on your side can mean the difference between getting the deal, or missing it.
From cruise cabin categories to the best resorts for teens or toddlers, we’ve either been there, booked it, or know someone who has. We use that knowledge to make your trip smoother.
We work with trusted travel suppliers, and often have access to special rates, upgrades, or perks that you won’t find on your own. Plus, we know when a “deal” online isn’t actually a deal.
Travel delays, weather issues, unexpected hiccups, we’re here to help when you need it. You’re not stuck on hold with a call center or scrambling on your own when a flight gets canceled.
Transfers, excursions, travel insurance, passport questions, yep, we take care of those, too. And if you’re planning for a group, we’ll help keep everyone organized and everything on track.
In most cases, it doesn’t cost you anything extra. Travel agents are paid a commission by hotels, cruise lines, and tour operators after your trip is completed. Some agents may charge a small planning fee depending on the complexity of the trip, but you’ll always be informed ahead of time.
Booking online gives you options. Sometimes too many! A travel agent gives you insight and peace of mind. We know which resorts get the best reviews, which cruise cabins are worth the upgrade, and which travel insurance policies actually cover what you need. You get personalized advice, exclusive perks, and someone in your corner if things don’t go as planned.
The best time to start planning depends on where you’re going, when you’re traveling, and how flexible you are. As a general rule:
For peak seasons (spring break, summer, holidays), it’s smart to start planning 6 to 12 months ahead.
For most other trips, 3 to 6 months is usually ideal.
For custom itineraries, large groups, or destination weddings, we recommend starting even earlier.
Planning ahead gives you more choices and time to spread out your payments. Many tour operators and cruise lines offer payment plans, so the earlier you book, the more time you have to pay — just know that final payment is usually due around 30 to 60 days before you travel, depending on the supplier.
Flights work a little differently. You typically can’t book them more than 10 to 11 months in advance. While there’s no perfect rule for when flights are cheapest, prices usually go up as the plane fills up. Booking early helps lock in the best schedules and rates before things sell out.
We’re happy to help you figure out the right timeline for your specific trip.
We book everything from all-inclusive resorts, cruises, and theme park vacations to European tours and custom itineraries. Whether you’re planning a honeymoon, a family vacation, or a group trip, we can help.
We can absolutely include flights as part of a full vacation package. This is often the best value and allows us to help you with everything in one place.
As a general rule, we don’t book standalone flights on their own. Most airlines don’t offer commission, so when flights are booked outside of a package, it shifts all the responsibility to the agent without compensation. That said, some agents may choose to assist with flights as a courtesy, especially for repeat clients or more complex trips. Either way, we’re happy to guide you on the best flight options, help you time your travel right, and answer any questions about seating, layovers, or luggage.
Yes. If you run into any issues while you’re traveling, you’ll have a real person you can contact for help. We’re here to answer questions, help with changes, and make sure your trip goes as smoothly as possible.
